This program is intended for those individuals and organizations that want to keep their e-mail communication confidential, and want to assure the security of various documents that are located on their computers.

E-mail correspondence
When you send mail over the Internet it is being delivered in an "open" format. It would be just like mailing a regular letter, only without an envelope. Anyone that gains possession of the message can easily open it and examine its contents. As far as electronic mail is concerned, your message originally starts off on the server of your Internet provider and makes its way to an identical server of the intended recipient. It is kept there until the person to whom it is addressed reads it. You can imagine how many different people are able to gain access to your message during this time: Internet provider personnel, hackers, and even government security officials. Any piece of information that you send through the Internet can be used against you, especially sensitive or confidential material.
Messages received by you are also stored on your computer in an "open" format. Anyone that has access to your PC while you are away can read all the mail that you sent and received in the past.
Just imagine what would happen if someone got a hold of your financial information, personal e-mail correspondence, new ideas, work-related plans, terms of an important business deal, etc. For example, what would happen if an Internet affair (no matter how innocent) was ever discovered by your husband or wife? Or what would happen if your boss found out that you are planning to move to another company? What if the terms and conditions of a business deal fell into the hands of your competitors?

Documents on your computer
At present time, practically every document is created and stored on a computer. This includes your financial data, e-mail correspondence, and basically any other piece of information that you would rather conceal from your boss, your colleagues, your husbands or wives, or just strangers that have gained access to your PC. If your computer is connected to the Internet then you are at an even greater risk, because any hacker (if they really wanted to) could find a way to break into your system.

What can you do to prevent this? We suggest that you store your information and conduct your e-mail correspondence in an encrypted format. This way you don't have to worry about issues of confidentiality.

The Eglum Encrypter allows you to encrypt documents with a very high level of security. In addition to its ease of use and its ability to encrypt/decrypt data with a single click using a combination of ALT + F10, the program has a major advantage.
When you are decrypting a piece of text, the action takes place right in the opened window and the decrypted information is NOT saved automatically. If you close the window, the text will return to its encrypted state and will appear that way whenever you access it again.
What does this achieve? For example, if you are working with a piece of encrypted text and someone walks into the room, you just need to close the window with one click of the mouse and the text will once again become encrypted.
