Eglum SpamSnare is an efficient anti-spam tool that uses innovative technology to block unwanted mail. As opposed to traditional spam filter programs, it eliminates junk mail completely.

What separates Eglum SpamSnare from other spam fighting software is that it selects messages that are NOT SPAM and places them in a separate list, while most conventional anti-spam programs use the opposite method: they try to pick out SPAM messages from all received mail.

What are the advantages of SpamSnare's unique approach?
  • Much higher effectiveness: 100% guaranteed junk mail isolation. SpamSnare blocks ALL unwanted bulk email; While most other software can easily label important messages as spam or do the reverse, letting spam in through their filter, SpamSnare does not make such errors.
  • Guarantees that you will never lose valuable messages;
  • Simple setup;
  • Does not require regular updates, unlike most other anti-spam software.
  • Includes a convenient and flexible e-mail sorting system. SpamSnare sorts all received mail into the three groups by certain criteria:
    1 : Tagged Mail
    2 : Permitted Mail
    3 : Likely Spam
    You do not need to check the first two groups for spam, and you can safely and quickly browse through the third group. This system makes sure that no important messages are lost, and at the same time all junk mail is completely eliminated.

    How are these advantages achieved? In the Eglum SpamSnare, everything is done using a combination of well-known conventional methods and a unique approach to fighting spam.

    Conventional methods of fighting spam, used by most anti-spam programs
    1. Conventional anti-spam programs use the technique of identifying spam messages by scanning the subject and text for certain keywords and phrases. They have huge databases of such spam identifying keywords and phrases, so each time you receive mail the program compares the text and subject of each message to the contents of its database. This technique is called spam filtering and it has considerable disadvantages:
  • It cannot possibly guarantee 100% spam protection, because some spam messages would not contain any of the spam keywords and phrases from the program’s database.
  • With this technique it is quite possible to lose important mail, as it can be wrongfully labeled by the program as spam.
  • The database of spam keywords and phrases should be frequently updated, as spammers become more diverse and inventive.
    This becomes a major hassle for users of such programs.
    2. Another conventional technique is the use of the so-called black list – a list containing the e-mail addresses of spammers. It is obvious that this technique could not be effective, as spammers can easily change their e-mail addresses. So the users of such anti-spam programs would have to frequently update the black list, which is very inconvenient. Moreover, it is not possible to locate and identify all spammers on the Internet, so the black list technique has very low effectiveness.
    3. One of today's most effective techniques is building an E-mail List of people and organizations, from which it is acceptable to receive mail (it is usually called the Friendly List). However, it does have a series of major setbacks as well:
  • The first disadvantage is the limited amount of persons on that list of safe e-mails. It becomes especially evident when your e-mail address is publicly accessible to anyone and you receive mail from many new users. More specifically, any company that has its own website where it advertises its e-mail address cannot really use this algorithm to protect against spam.
  • Another key disadvantage is that this method does not guard you against viruses. Many viruses multiply by way of e-mails sent from an infected computer to those users in that person's address book. These e-mails will not be labeled as spam by this algorithm and your computer may become infected when you browse through a message, thinking that it is safe to do so.

    Eglum SpamSnare: unique approach
    As opposed to conventional anti-spam programs, SpamSnare software offers a unique approach to stopping spam, which includes a combination of two spam blocking methods.
    The primary method is very distinctive and is not widely used yet. It consists of using an Anti-Spam Tag, which is inserted into messages from trusted senders and by which the program sorts all incoming mail.
    The second method is more popular and is used by SpamSnare as an additional backup. It is a technique of identifying messages that have come from senders whose e-mail addresses are on your Secure E-mail List, which you create yourself.
    The combination of these two techniques allows you to separate spam free messages from junk mail with the highest efficiency possible and almost 100% reliability.

    On top of that, the setup of SpamSnare is extremely simple and straightforward. The program does not require regular maintenance and it is very easy to update your Secure List. All that you should do is change your anti-spam tag from time to time, but you don't have to. There is a page on the website specially designed for this purpose (go to SUPPORT --> User Section), where you can post your updated anti-spam tag so that all your respondents can obtain it.
